So here we are in sunny brighty. If your just catching up with us, Cape Audio College lecturers Gaston Roulstone, Jonathan Pike and myself (Richard Harriman) have all packed up for a trip to the UK and will be spending the next 2 weeks touring about causing havoc. During this trip I will be keeping you up to date with our experiences and progress during our 2012 UK trip to Pinewood studios. Later next week we will be visiting the AVID headquarters at and will be in training from Monday morning. On Thursday 23rd of August Cape Audio College had the pleasure of welcoming DJ ONQ and Paul Bothners to our campus for a product demo and workshop.
DJ ONQ presented the Paul Bothners workshop with a focus on Akai Professional products. He looked at the use of Akai Professional and Ableton Live in both the Studio and Live environments. Starting the workshop with a detailed history of Akai as well as sampling that gave birth to a new musical groove production that emulated into the Hip Hop culture of the early 90’s. Read more »
