Ryan feeling it
The last time The Little Kings came to Cape Audio College the recording went so well that the track they did with one of the producer course students recently received some air play on 5fm. So this time round we took aside a weekend to work on a project with the Cape Audio College staff, the Head Engineer, Gaston Roulstone, brought in his good friend and amazing producer Jaime Sandoval, to lend us his golden ear for music and expertise on composition in general. Earlier this year one of our producer course students, Bernard Knightly, brought in ‘The Little Kings’ to record a track for his final project, called ‘Wave Riding’. Bernard used two of our second year students as his tracking engineers, David Robinowitz and Julian Jones. The track ‘Wave Ridding’ has now been played on 5fm in conjunction with the Spring Tide festival held in Camps Bay last weekend. It’s great to hear one of our students project is receiving air play on a national radio station like 5fm. Keep it up guys.

Live & Direct 2010 was the hub of Long Street on Saturday night, with pure talent pouring out of the massive PA system all night, which was great for our students who came through and helped out, especially for the first years who got the chance to mix in such a packed live venue. We are proud of having had an entire line up of Cape Audio College affiliated acts. Read more »
