International Synth Day

Cape Audio College hosted an event called International Synth Day to commemorate the life of the late Robert Moog, who introduced the first modular synthesiser to the public in the 1960s. Students & synth enthusiast brought their synths.

Concert In The Parks 2019

Our Cape Audio College Live & Direct Crew had a very busy few months by providing full technical support for the 2019 season of Concert In The parks that ran from January-April 2019. Our Live Direct Crew are up at the crack of dawn ready to set up at 06:00 am. The headline acts that performed were Jimmy Nevis, The Rockets, The Rudimentals, Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse.



YoungtaCPT Private Album Listening Session

On the 21st of March 2019, Cape Audio College hosted an invite-only Listening Session for YoungstaCPT’s Debut Album 3T. The album has been in the making for the last few years.  The entire album was recorded, mixed & mastered here at Cape Audio College by Kay Faith. In attendance was Sole DXB.

YoungstaCPT School Tour.

20 Schools, 14 Days. Cape Audio College Live & Direct has the opportunity to supply full technical support for YoungstaCPT’s School for 2019. Some of the schools the tour happened at is Kengiston High, Elsies River High, Portlands High, Fairmount High, Steenberg High & Plumstead High. Each Day, our Live crew would arrive an hour before youngstaCPT to make sure the entire PA and make sure everything sounded crisp. Once the first show would end, the live crew struck the PA  and on to the next show, they went.


Career’s Day Workshop 26-28 March

Cape Audio hosted our first career’s day workshop for 2019 from the 26th-28th March. It was the largest attendance we have had with over 50 eager to learn the in’s & outs of the Sound Engineering field. Each day the students would learn a different field such as a Live Sound Demo, Introduction to Mixing & Mastering and I music production workshop where students get to make some music in Ableton.
