Kay Faith – The woman behind the music

Our very own Karien Barnard (Kay Faith) has been making a name for herself in the local hip hop and rap industry as a passionate recording engineer. she has been hard at work with both college based and private projects. Recently livemag.co.za did a piece on her and some of her work so for in the local scene. Graduates helping graduates – PHFAT’s home studio

Last week we sent our technical guy Devon Swart to help a fellow ex graduate Mike Zietsman, or more commonly known by his stage name, PHFAT. Mike needed help to create some cabling and to wire a few new things into his studio. Now this sounds simple enough, until you actually start doing it. (more…)

Another Successful Modern Music Production Course

Last week saw the graduation of this year’s Modern Music Production Course right here at Cape Audio College. The students gathered in our state of the art S6 studio to present their final mixes and for a few celebratory drinks.
